WHAAAAT said:Ok guys, for what reason would ANY college with a good football reprutation.. Look for guys like that? I mean, first of you have to understand that most footall academies and college's will almost allways look for americans in first place, if you dont stand out in any way, for what particular reason would a coach recruit you?
You guys are talking about great results.. Compair with most highschool players ( i assume these players, that tested are around 17-18-19 years of age. ) 5,31 40y with 4 reps at 225... What SPECIFIC possition is this guy looking to play at college, no offence but i cant see why this guys results are even close to beeing good in any recruiters eyes. 21 inches of Vertical would not be concidered as "good" for any skill-possition player what-so-ever. Over in the US, people work hard t earn their way in to college.. and avarage students in highschool years will beat those results fairly easy but still have to look really hard to find a place to play football..... becasue of COMPETITION... im sorry, i just cant understand why people pay that "much" money to get tested, when they have nothing to show? and for the record, if you are still young and fresh.. there is tons of development camps at universities ( that consists of recruiters!!! ).
Guys.... Good luck playing
Well, first of all I´m only 16, turning 17 this May so I´ve got a couple of years to improve my results. I´m sure I´ll be good enough for a Div2-team when the time for college comes and I will work hard during the offseasons to get there. I will most definitely be able to compete with american students for a place on the team.
Second, i didn´t go to this combine in order to make results worthy to send a school or recruiter, but see where I am at this point and get some results to work on.
Last: Here in Sweden, people also work hard to earn their way into college.
What makes you so d**n sure that you will play at a Div 2 one day? By playing in Ekeby? that aint gonna do it.. or to do 4 reps on 225? or run 5.31 on 40 yards..? if you weigh 108 kg and run a 5.31 and thinks that that is good.. you're wrong..
or just quote the DIF's website.. "Imponerande var också Björn Elmlund, som vägde in på 108 kg och ändå sprang 40 yards på lysande 5,31"
Impressing? probably not..
