Det verkar som om Pontus går in som Grey shirt i Duke. Om jag har fattat det rätt så betyder Grey shirt typ prövo tid i ca 1 år innan man blir garanterad fullscholarship.

"Bondesson Föröva till Hertigen"
Pontus Bondesson By John Watson TDD Staff Date: Jan 29, 2006
Reading the above headline may make several Blue Devil fans do a double take. However, for at least two new Duke commits, it's old hat. Last week head coach Ted Roof secured a commitment from one international prospect in the form of Marcus Lind. Now, Roof and his staff have landed a second international lineman.
Pontus Bondesson, a 6-foot-6, 275 pound OL/DL prospect hailing from Sweden verbally committed to Roof and the Blue Devils early Sunday morning accoring to sources close to the situation. After seeing countryman Marcus Lind choose the Blue Devils over several other high major programs, Bondesson followed suit after sitting down with Roof and his assistants for a late breakfast today.
The 19 year old was rumored to be a potential grayshirt candidate as the Blue Devils are quickly approaching the scholarship limit of 25 in the class of 2006, however sources indicate that Bondesson will enroll in summer school, which will make him the seventh potential offensive lineman in the class of 2006.
"He could challenge for time on the field as a true freshman," a source reported. "It's going to come down to his ability to adjust to a number of things. He's going to be in a new country and a different situation."

Det som står att läsa på scout.com innehåller en del faktafel, för det första så gick jag inte på IT-gymnasiet i Stockholm, och jag väger 290 lbs, springer 40 på 5 blankt och bilderna är inte på mig.

Grattis Pontus.

St. Thomas' Lind signs with Duke
BY JOSEPH GOODMAN
jgoodman@MiamiHerald.com
I have written about Sam Young and Dan Wenger so often that I've got green clover growing out of my nose.
Typed M-a-r-c-u-s G-i-l-b-e-r-t more times than he has.
Signing day's got me so fatigued that I cringe at the phrase: 'St. Thomas Aquinas' trio of talented offensive linemen.''
But one more story must be written. About a St. Thomas offensive lineman, no less.
See, St. Thomas only started the 2005 high school football season with a ''trio of talented offensive linemen.'' When it finished, the number had grown to four.
And the St. Thomas lineman you've never heard of might just be the most likely to play pro football on Sundays. He's big and athletic and his name is Marcus Lind. His buddies just call him ``Big Swede.''
Lind's story is extraordinary. This time last year, he was chattering his teeth in Sweden and dreaming of high school football in sunny South Florida. This time next year, he'll be a Duke Blue Devil.
Lind, a 6-foot-3, 260-pound offensive guard, signed with Duke Wednesday. It didn't register on any national recruiting websites. Unlike another Duke signee, Hialeah Miami Lakes quarterback Thaddeus Lewis, Lind's recruiting tales weren't highly publicized.
But make no mistake; Lind is a steal for Duke head coach Ted Roof. Big Swede turned down offers from Miami, Auburn, South Carolina and N.C. State to wear Duke blue.
Why Duke over some of the best college programs in the country?
''Because football might be over tomorrow, but my education will always be with me,'' Lind said.
Lind started playing football in 2002. Turns out, the sport is catching on in Sweden, an untapped football frontier teeming with tight ends and linemen. He grew up a hockey goalie. Scouts say his football potential is limitless and there's plenty of room to grow atop those nimble feet.
Lind played defensive end, defensive tackle and offensive guard for St. Thomas this season, but he's more of a natural offensive guard, though.
During the postseason, he lined up between Wenger and Young. And you can bet your Swedish meatballs that the Raiders' front line was a tough first string to crack.
The University of Miami sure could have used an offensive lineman like Lind. But, truth be told, Miami missed out on Lind twice. Last winter, when Lind got the wild hair to play football in the U.S., his first choice was Miami. Sweden's exchange-student program hooked Lind up with Miami Columbus, but Columbus didn't want him. According to Lind, Columbus' principal vetoed the move out of fear of committing a recruiting violation.
''The headmaster [thought it would be recruiting,'' Lind said. ``They didn't want me, so the coach there said maybe [St. Thomas] might want me.''
Lind moved in with a sponsor family, Jack and Susan Pelletier, and got to work learning football, to speak English and the American culture.
''We got this e-mail from Marcus before he moved and there was this picture of him standing in his room and behind him was this huge American flag,'' Jack Pelletier said.
Lind loved St. Thomas. He did, however disagree with the Raiders hair policy. He hated having to cut his near-shoulder-length coiffure..
That's not to say Lind didn't fit in at St. Thomas this year. On Wednesday, nearly everyone (especially the girls) had to get a picture taken with Big Swede. In Lind's student yearbook, Young wrote that he wanted to visit Sweden.
Pelletier said Lind seemed to be a player from the start.
''We didn't know what to expect from Marcus at first, and then we got to the airport and he's carrying this huge, sprawling suitcase -- the kind you're supposed to roll -- on his back. He had, I think, three other bags and he was carrying them all,'' he said.
``I knew right then that this was a football player.''
