Aug 4 Patrick Finch, of TitansOnline.com, reports Tennessee Titans PKs Rob Bironas and Ola Kimrin continue their training camp battle to land the place kicking job. Titans coaches say leg strength, accuracy and kicking under pressure will ultimately decide their fate. "It's definitely competition," special teams coach Alan Lowry said. "It's going to come down to who is the most consistent under pressure, and that's what we're trying to figure out right now … they know everybody is watching."

Saxat från Lindy's 2005 Pro Football: "A year after they plummeted into an injury plagued 5-11 season, they (The Titans) expect to be one of the youngest teams in the league. And while they won't use the rebuilding word themselves, everybody else should."

Aug 20 Paul Kuharsky, of the Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher said he is concerned with the team's kicking game. "We missed a PAT," general manager Floyd Reese said. "I don't care if the ball is laying flat on the ground; you've got to make a PAT." PK Ola Kimrin missed the PAT. PK Rob Bironas missed a 37-yard field goal wide right in the third quarter and pulled a 44-yarder wide left in the fourth quarter.
